Embraced me like an iron maiden.

Backstory

I don't know if this happens to other people, or at least hoping that I'm not the only one.

I like hugs, amongst people I feel comfortable with. But when I'm hugged for too long or too tightly, I begin to feel extremely panicked. I like snuggling but if I feel like I'm unable to move part of my body, I suddenly very urgently feel like I need to get away. I don't know what it's all about, but I really cannot handle being hugged without the ability to move. Even when we go to sleep, I can't have my husband's arm over mine.

Just one more reason why I'm off my rocker, I suppose.

Right there with you, Wench.

When we are needing sleeping space we touch feet. It's less smothering but we still like to be connected when we sleep. So no, you are not off your rocker.

canadafreeze says,

Touching feet - my kind of intimacy in sleep or near sleep.
