Wench says,

Very true. I keep telling myself that. On the other hand, I don't think anyone's suffering should be invalidated or trivialized by the fact that someone else in the world is suffering more or differently.

true dat.

ShellDeFelice says,

I am in total agreement Wench. I am living in a tiny one bedroom apartment with a five year old who has enough physical energy to wind power NYC. We sleep in one bed and I use the term sleep, loosely. She sleeps and I wake up every hour from her thrashing around to waste time fretting about how I will pay the bills and show up happy and peaceful for her in the morning. I toss and turn imagining myself wallpapering the entire place with the job rejection notices I have received in the last six months.
We sleep in one bed because we have one bed.
But, then we have a tickle fest and I catch a zephyr of the intoxicating baby smell that is evaporating from her at light speed and I pause and feast, on the joy. We have one bed!
I have a friend who can not afford her $850 dollar a month electric bill. Her pain is real and no less than ours, just different.
xoxo

Wench says,

Offering you solidarity and prayers for better days - I know what you mean though, even in the midst of all the crap, kissing my son's cheeks or tickling his belly gives me the strength to get through days that feel like they are never going to end.
