EXACTLY! Very self serving and devoid of emotion. I'm truly disappointed.

L2L3 says,

Is the general public blind to the thick slime coating he's worn for years? He's just one more average, insignificant human without the drugs.

TheUnknownComic says,

Apparently so where the other 8 bikers in the 2000 Tour - you have to go down to 10th to find someone who was involved in some sort of doping allegation. Is it still an unfair advantage at that point?

ctgoods2 says,

I don't see him carrying contrition well, even if he tried.

Yes, that's it, L2L3. I remember catching an ex in an elaborate lie. He bared some of his transgressions (only some) and said, "I couldn't lie to you any more", which I found laughable. In fact, he couldn't lie any more only because he was caught!

DynamicDbytheC says,

Hmmmm, still torn on this. Great memoir.

notjustagirlintheworld says,

he must be a republican.

ctgoods2 says,

Im not sure what apology he owes - or why the public is owed an admission of remorse. He's been punished. Im not sure why being endorsed or chastised by oprah is what guides people (although i am sure she is a lovely woman). I just dont see him wearing remorse comfortably even if it is how he feels.
