Not much enthusiasm for hockey season.

MotorCityMich says,

I am a huge hockey fan... living in "Hockey Town" it's sort of a requirement. ;-)

I'm just ticked at the whole lockout crap. It was silly, greedy, and disrespectful to the fans.

Anyway, I know I'll watch, I'll just be grumpy about it... until my Red Wings hit the ice anyway!

Who's your team?

MotorCityMich says,

See, I am totally a hometown (home state anyway) fan. I love my Red Wings, and I know I'll forgive them. I also know that Mr. Illitch is not one of the skeevy team owners, so he can do no wrong in my opinion. I guess once the season starts I'll feel better about it. It's just been odd without hockey here. I know when my husband moved here from SoCal he was shocked at how popular hockey is. Part of it is proximity to Canada, but we also have winter here and that makes hockey more of a viable option for people.

Anyway, I do love my wings, love Datsyuk and Zetterberg... going to miss Lidstrom a lot... he was just the classiest guy and a wonderful captian. It's hard to see Yzerman with another team though. *sad*

It'll be nice to break out the Wings gear from the closet though!
