Backstory

not a new idea, i know, but it occurred to me as i was leaving for work this morning. i saw the most beautiful sickle moon: incredibly thin but very clear. whenever something starts me off in a good mood, i tend to notice the good things for the rest of the day.

You will most assuredly enjoy September, the comet C-2012-S will become more and more visible in 2013, September. It will pass within 7 million miles of MARS, and will be a naked eye object in the mornings, from about 03:00 to dawn. This may be the most visible comet in modern times. Go to the jmccsci.com website, scroll about halfway down the first page, click on the radio show archives sub page. Right click, choose the option of "save link as" then hit save on the popup-window. In less than a minute you have an hour's radio show downloaded. You can then listen at your leisure. His weekly programs for August through December are mostly about this comet. James McCanney is a physicist and mathematics professor who taught at Tulane university. He is not a crank.
