I could swear I've written more...

Backstory

...but there don't seem to be any missing from my memoir list. 1,000 still seems so far away!

Staraj says,

I swear I prefer your quality to the quantity that some inflict on this site. But in America, residents of Disturbia also have freedom of speech. Unfortunately, they lack coherence of speech.

accidentaltourist says,

I resemble that remark, Staraj. ;)

Dean6805 says,

I've blocked one or two of those... thankfully, they're far fewer here than most sites on the interwebz.

Dean6805 says,

And thanks to you both.

Staraj says,

No worries, AT. You're one of the Usual Six-spects. I think we all know who we are by now. And we're NOT residents of Disturbia.

I don't scare easily, but some of the repeated ramblings of these folks make me fearful that they're the type who could casually push someone in front of a moving subway train. Maybe Larry should post an advisory that reads: TAKE YOUR MEDS BEFORE POSTING.

canadafreeze says,

Ah, but when you do:-) you were one of my firsts on this site -

Dragonflower says,

Did you have a goal of writing 1,000, Dean? Admirable if you did. When I first started writing here, it felt like a kind of release; to let my thoughts be expressed in six word increments. And kind of fun to think of mundane ramblings turned into something profound or funny, or...

Now I want to think more before writing and actually posting. Sometimes, though, my memoirs seem to just appear on their own and those always seem to be the best ones. Magical quality of this site. Very sophisticated! :)

accidentaltourist says,

What CF says. You're on my faves list for sure. :)

Dean6805 says,

See, yet another reason you guys are the best: you give me the attention I so badly crave. ;)

Autumn, my Sixing is very much like that. I sometimes think and think for days before forming and posting the words I want, only to hear crickets. But then the exasperated sentiment I hastily post after having been cut off in traffic or experiencing a sneezing fit gets tons of love. The reason I want to get to 1,000 is because it seems like a milestone to me. It will say that I've stuck with something. But I'm with Staraj: quality trumps quantity. I'd to be the kind of spammer that forces otherwise patient, thoughtful readers like those here to flip the ignore switch. So for now, slow and steady runs the race. No win here, just DO.

oopsalittle says,

I hear ya- lately I've been checking my memoir count , looking to reach that 1000....
I have sixes written in a book in the car while driving, sticky notes, scraps of paper, in my notes on ipad, notes by the bed, on the back of used envelopes, even written on my hand and tried using voice memo on my mobile. So I do have thousands of sixes but I do tend to think ( maybe too much?) before I post - which brings to mind another weird thing...
Sometimes I have a six thought that I write down and whilst I'm reflecting on it, another sixer posts a six that is almost identical to what I was thinking of posting. Collective consciousness - wow. Love it.
