Backstory

~a reflection on ct's memorized carols memoir.

For the show I was part of this past weekend, the director handed out lyric sheets for some standard carols that the cast would sing as a group....a last minute, spontaneous "oh let's do this" thing on her part. I realized that my daughter and I were the only ones who knew all the words to all three songs....in addition to the song we were performing, and one other song that I asked the audience to join us in (come on people...who doesn't know the 12 Days of Christmas??).

I must have done something right as a parent.
