Backstory
I called Y2K, Two Thousand. Then it was Two Thousand Something, which continued until around 2004. Then it was just two digits like 05, 06, etc. until the decade. Then it was back to the formal Two Thousand Ten, etc. Now it just seems like such a mouthful with the teen years. So I'm saying "what are doing in May, 13?" Or I have an appointment on January 5th, 13. Sounds odd in my head, but I'm gonna do it. That's my plan and I'm stickin' to it.

Good plan ...accidentaltourist says,
I was okay with "twenty-ten" and "twenty-twelve".... but "twenty-eleven" was a stumbler, and I feel the same about all the rest. Typical teenagers...just plain awkward.Dragonflower says,
"Typical teenagers...just plain awkward." That is really funny. And true. I forgot that some people said twenty-ten. Now I remember that was the debate at the decade mark; whether to say that or the formal two thousand lingo.Dragonflower says,
The comments seemed to have disappeared. Accidentaltourist had a funny comment. I replied to it and then all the comments disappeared. I hope they come back.
