Magic happens when the table grows.

Backstory

Some of the strangest and most wonderful things happen at my kitchen table on a regular basis. I added two leaves to the table on a whim and laughed when I noticed that the wood on the inserts looked brand new, while the usual table parts we used looked absolutely pathetic in comparison. But some kitchen magic worked itself into those inserts. During this holiday season the empty chairs were filled, love blossomed, wrongs were righted and plenty of food babies were conceived - all at my kitchen table. It was all quite wonderful and totally worth the mismatched finishes. I couldn't help but think that my already mystical memory making table also makes magic when it's given a little room to grow.

Lovely,
and is that a Believe hat that you're wearing?

Loon says,

irony of "leaves" ....people stayed

ctgoods2 says,

JAD - I'll keep it just where it is 'til you get here.
Ama - thank you - 'tis indeed myBelieve hat (not misspelled, that's how it is referred to in the house - as in: where is myBelieve hat? don't touch myBelieve hat; now seriously, DON'T touch myBelieve hat! and I can't write without myBelieve hat...)
Loon - I was struck similarly.

Undermom says,

Ah, your table. Reading about it is how you first stole my heart (and my admiration). Love the memoir, and your writing is as beautiful as the sentiment behind it. (Also, the new picture is FAB, girlfriend).

ctgoods2 says,

Ty very much. The feeling is mutual friend;)
