Wisdom here. Not to compare. But one wonders what kind of world we'd have if "certain individuals from history" were to subscribe to this philosophy. For instance, it would have been just fine with me if Adolph Hitler had admitted to himself that he was simply too much of a lazy bones to try to conquer the world or exterminate Jews. Rather, he opted to hie to a bohemian village, and spend his life painting landscapes. Brilliant career choice, Adolph.
thanks so much, everyone! staraj: your point about hitler is well taken and in his case i CERTAINLY agree, but as you know there's a flip side. suppose albert einstein had said to himself, "yeah, sure, i have all these fascinating and important ideas about the nature of time and the universe, but after a full day at the patent office i'm just too tired and bored to write them down." not the least snottiness intended, i assure you! as for me, i lay no claims to wisdom - i'm just truly lazy :)
