as the one I had last night! Finally, after 9 days power was restored to my home. Heat, hot water and light - what luxuries!!!

I was just thinking about you. So glad that you have your power restored. I wish you and your fellow neighbors the best. This is truly awful what you've all had to endure. My heart breaks for those that are suffering still without heat, food, shelter, etc.

jl - honestly we did not have it that bad. It was just a major inconvenience (and cold). Our home is intact and suffered no damaged during Sandy. My daughter's car was totaled by a falling tree but that can be replaced.

There are people who are really suffering right now and have lost much. I am profoundly thankful for our blessings.
