Backstory
I find myself asking this question everywhere I go. People see me and assume I won't understand them or can't speak for myself. I realize I look "different" and am difficult to understand, but ask what you're asking to me, not my caregiver, friend, etc. Try to understand my speech. If you can't, then say so and we'll get help. I'm not invisible.

Sorry to hear it, Steph. Remember that they do it out of ignorance, not out of spite. At least ignorance has a cure. ; ) (Least that's what I always tell myself!)StephanieTor says,
I know, but it still annoys the hell out of me!ba_miracle says,
sounds like a perfect six word shirtRedx3 says,
You're darn right BA! That would be a great one to wear, Steph! : )jl333 says,
I see this all too often! I personally try to speak directly at the person with the disablity. For crying out loud, they still have feelings like everybody else! Great six for a T-shirt Stephanie. Have one made for yourself. It might just be the ice-breaker you need.
