Backstory
I met actress/writer Oni Faida Lampley at the Park Slope Food Coop in the late 1980s. We would be in and out of touch for the next 20 years, as she married, had two sons, wrote plays, acted in movies, and got breast cancer scant months after the birth of her second son. Because she had no computer and I had abundant web access, it was I who volunteered to join a breast cancer support listserv (this was the 90s) to gather information for her. Oni survived, got cancer again, wrote another play about the experience: Tough Titty. It was a status update in Facebook from a mutual friend that told me she was gone. http://www.theonifund.com/
