Robots still not doing my job.

Backstory

I sent my first e-mail in 1981, while working as an editor at Carnegie Mellon, downwind of the Robotics Institute, where they were trying to get a robot arm to grab a Coke bottle. One of the associates there, a "general technologist" named Purvis, told me with a straight face that in 20 years robots would be so advanced, we'd only have to work 4 hours a day and spend the rest of our time writing string quartets.

I'm still waiting.
