From Minneapolis, MN comes an especially inspiring use of Six-Word Memoirs. A writer and teacher named Janna blogs, “Every Friday, I am blessed to share a table with teenage mothers at a high school in Minneapolis and write about our lives. Inspired by a book titled Not Quite What I Was Planning, this morning we wrote our life stories in six words.”

These short stories of family contain even more than the usual multitudes of laughter and tears. A few examples:
My parents taught me, intentionally, unintentionally. -Anonymous
Lifted myself, carried myself, here now. -J.K.
No, I’m not lucky, I’m blessed. -C.B.
Dorothy Hamil haircut, bumper toe Nikes. -J.K.
Thin line between love and hate. C.B.

Touched by the friendship, comraderie, and inspiration. What a great use of time and bonding and what fantastic memoirs as a result. Spreading the word, laughter, wisdom, and smiles, absolutely invaluable.

    Loved them! Keep blogging.
