I feel that way about a book & movie called "Hostage" by Crais. The ending of the book was the worst ending I think I've ever read, but the movie ending was much better. I guess I like endings where the protagonist saves the day, not where he/she is irrelevant.

Wow, that was unexpectedly long rant.
