An Amazing Display, Just One Seed.
Backstory
Plant a Seed, Watch it GrowOne of the greatest challenges I anticipate in being a member of an online learning community is to contain much information in short report. Brevity may be a good thing to use in writing, but it isn’t the easiest thing to perform. Widdicombe, L. (2008, February 25). Say It All in Six Words. SMITH Magazine. I can remember, at the young age of twelve years, standing before a group of children between the ages of 7 and 10 years old, teaching them a Bible Lesson. By the time I reached the age of fourteen years old, I was standing before my peers discussing the deep theories of scripture and guiding their beliefs towards Truth. A teacher, in my opinion, is one who plants seeds of information into fertile minds. I am confident that my truest personal and professional calling in life is to educate people in any and every opportunity that I am afforded.
My name is Cymantha Channey-White and I am currently a Walden University student working on my Master’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Studies, specializing in Public Policy and Advocacy. It has always been my practice to maintain a core existence especially when my life’s journey takes on various new paths and pre-trodden roads. Although education has many forms—I deem anything or anyone that alters our thinking and learning opportunity can be an educating moment—I have been fortunate to experience only a few that qualify as professional involvement. I have experienced Off-Broadway Theatre with a National Touring Company; managed, coordinated, and participated in music concerts for professional gospel singers of celebrity status; self-published several non-fiction and inspirational self-help books; and life-coached numerous youth and adults in venues such as faith-based non-profit organizations, federally funded and public school settings, and secular audiences. In every season of my 46 years of life, I have demonstrated the constancy of my six word summary—plant a seed, watch it grow!
