My mom was an organ donor.

Backstory

My mom died at age 49 and she was a donor. This was before HIPPA (privacy laws). She lived in a small town and on the day she died people who were waiting for organs had their pagers go off. One guy, who needed a kidney, was on the golf course. He wasn't going to be able to go to his daughter's wedding out of state because he needed his dialysis so frequently. Now everyone knew of my mom's death and knew who got paged and put it all together. The local paper asked if they could write an article about her. If not for the article, I would not have know about all the people and how their lives had changed, improved, etc.. The guy got to fly to his daughters wedding and I will never forget what it meant to him (and me). My mom was a giving, loving person even in death.
