MrsPremise says,

Are you talking about family and siblings, Lucid? I'm experiencing that too.

LucidDreamer says,

That's exactly who I'm talking about, MrsP. I have sisters and a brother, but mom was the only one I really connected with. It's nothing against my siblings - I just don't really feel related to anyone, and I never have. And my father may as well have been the invisible man. Been on my own for decades, but it started when mom passed.

MrsPremise says,

I'm sorry to hear that, Lucid. I'm starting to think it may not be uncommon. No one that knows me can see a connection to my own family...I've been the odd-ball since my teens, but possibly, along with one brother, the better functioning member.
What's that saying? Something about finding your true family...
Here's to a new year!!

EnMasse says,

Always wanted one of those all together families I saw on TV until I realized they don't really exist out of TV land or maybe so for the extremely lucky. At some point on a tough road you just hope for semi-normal and call it a day.
