I just had nothing to say.

Backstory

My daughter was born with a rare genetic condition which left her Hearing Impaired, Trached and severely Speech Delayed. She uses Sign Language as her Primary Language, but we have always encouraged her to speak. Although she has improved so much over the years, she is still fairly unintelligible. I have had countless dreams about my daughter over the years, but many of them end the same way. All of a sudden she just begins to talk- clearly, precisely, intelligently, passionately!!! I begin to cry and laugh and tell her how long I have waited to hear her voice. Everytime, she turns to me and says, "Mom, I could ALWAYS talk. I just had nothing to say."
