The SDBC President's tribute to James.

Backstory

James was a member of the San Diego Bicycle Club for 27+ years. The month of his diagnosis he won an award for BAR, Best All Around Racer, in his age category of 45-50.

Below is the article which was in the SDBC Newsletter.

James Kleba
On Saturday, March 2nd our friend and longtime SDBC member, James Kleba passed away. James was a legendary strong man and battled his disease with all of his amazing strength and fortitude. Everyone that knew him, that prayed for him, and who were inspired by this special man is saddened by his loss at such a young age.

Those of us, who were fortunate enough to share our passion for cycling with James, will never forget the pure and simple joy we shared with him traveling down the road. His strength, humor and example were an inspiration to competitors as well as friends, both young and old.

James was much more than a cycling friend. He was a loving husband, a consummate professional at work and wherever he went, he inspired and motivated those around him to reach a bit higher, dig a bit deeper and share a laugh along the way. Although he is gone, his strength and character will live in all those he touched.

Jim Ring - President.

James has traveled a path that has impacted many, DDC. This is such a lovely tribute to him. His passion for life shows in the pictures you have shared, from young to adult, as well as in this article. Thoughts are with you today.
