I watched him become a man.

Backstory

He was 21 when I met him and we were both in college. I went on this amazing life journey with him. Little did I know that when I met him, he was practically at his personal "middle age."

Wench says,

What a handsome guy! I can see why you fell in love. =)

canadafreeze says,

Gorgeous photo ... Landscape and guy :-)

Dragonflower says,

Wow. Great, expressive eyes. Lucky, lucky lady to find such a sweetie!
BTW, Love the trees in the background, how symmetrical they are. Great photography.

jl333 says,

Very nice. Hard to believe you spent half of your life with him! Thanks for sharing

DynamicDbytheC says,

More than half.

kathi_wright says,

now i understand 'sacre bleu' - what bright beautiful eyes with handsome everything...

DynamicDbytheC says,

kathi_wright, you are right. Thank you for my first smile of the day. If I post some body shots of him, you will be speaking fluent French.

Wench says,

Is anyone else seeing Gerard Butler?

DynamicDbytheC says,

He was a movie star to me.

jene2008 says,

It is nice to finally see the man of the hour. He is very handsome. Your love story has touched us all. Dean and I have discussed it many times lately. Your strength is amazing. Maybe Janes is helping hold you up. Your memoirs have honored him and helped us be able to sneak a peek into your heart.

DynamicDbytheC says,

Wench, Check out my pic of him under the Atticus/Adonis memoir. You get his whole physique.

Dragonflower says,

Are his eyes blue? They look blue but it could just be the sky. I like how Jene2008 calls him the man of the hour!

DynamicDbytheC says,

Baby blue. I will find a close up for one of my future memoirs. I doubt I will stop writing memoirs about him for a very long time. As tonyglim quoted an author he couldn't recall, "Memories are the legacy of love."

NumbrOneAunt says,

DDC, we don't want you to stop! as a matter of fact, i've been curious about two things for a long time: how you and james met (now know it was in college, but still curious about exactly how - in a class? introduced by mutual friends?) and how soon it was after you met that you realized you were soulmates. oh, and that brings up a related question - did you both realize that at the same time or did one of you have to wait for the other one to catch up? material for a few more sixes, n'est-ce pas?
WENCH: gerard butler? definitely!

Dragonflower says,

I keep coming back to this one. What a guy! Johnny Depp, move over!
