Fingers entwined momentarily. Time stood still.

Hannahmo says,

Aww how cute! <3

Hannahmo says,

This means she's not married, right?

Sagacious says,

I'm milking this story for all it's worth. It happened a few days ago. We were chatting and she was going to show me something and, as we walked away, our fingers entwined for a brief moment and, just as quickly, unlocked. I'm guessing she's divorced or separated. I'm really not sure. It's one of those situations where, the longer it goes on, the deeper the feelings get. You think and fantasise about them more and look forward to seeing them again. What I'm wary of is becoming too needy and forgetting that the reason this great set of experiences is happening is because I'm giving her what she wants and, I hope, affirming her as an attractive woman- which she is. The problem is, the deeper the feelings, the stronger the need; and need is a dangerous thing.

This is cute! Hannahmo is right. But, I'm puzzled. Perhaps guys are different downunder, but why don't you just ask her out? It's Christmas for goodness sakes. There's no better time. In my favorite movie, Love Actually, there's a little boy who has a crush on this girl at school. She's leaving for America, so the dad suggests the boy tell her how her feels--and the little boy says, "Yes, let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love." (Cuz he thinks the girl won't like him back).

So, it's Christmas--give it go!

Dragonflower says,

Sorry, "suggests the boy tell her how HE feels"
