Daughter hopes for Captain America costume.

Backstory

My three year old daughter wants to be Captain America for Halloween. Why? Because he has a cool shield with a star on it, and "He's my boy" as she says when she sees the image.

Why not?

Dean6805 says,

I bet she absolutely rocks it. Good for her for knowing what she wants. Good for you for seeing it for what it is.

lillybrook says,

Thanks, Dean6805. She is going to be a great Captain America - and since we live in Minnesota, she will be MUCH warmer than her princess and fairy friends!

lillybrook says,

AND, of course, this probably belonged under "LIFE" but since it's here, it's all about LOVE, not heartbreak.

accidentaltourist says,

Applause for both being mother of a superhero and knowing that not all about love is about heartbreak.

lillybrook says,

accidental - that is absolutely true. If love was about heartbreak, why would we ever appreciate the love? Wouldn't it have this endless ominous cloud from the shoe waiting to drop? Nah... there is way more to love than to grieve in life. Not always, but overall, and in the end, it's love.

jl333 says,

She should go for Captain Miss America.

lillybrook says,

Well, she does call me the Mommy King, and is perfectly comfortable with the idea that women change the world, in and out of costume.
