Backstory
This is a month after my foster mom was told she had stage 4 and would be lucky to have 3 months. She lived more than a year after that, passing away Dec 2010. He was there until the last moment and now his fiercely loving heart is trying to give out. Whatever strength or peace you can send his way...he needs it now.

I am living with someone with Stage 4 cancer and he is the love of my life (28 years so far). I can't imagine the pain of losing him and I live in denial for now. A foster mom says a lot about this woman, she was a woman with a big heart and lots of love. It is so unfair. Sorry for him as well as you. Thanks for sharing this side of your life.NumbrOneAunt says,
i'm sending prayers for both of you and your families.ba_miracle says,
Thank you NumberOneAunt, those prayers are much appreciated. She was a tough but loving woman. She had also been a foster child and took me in off the streets.
He is a tough man who would rather not need help but they don't call it "serious as a heart attack" for no reason.
I love him for being there for her and DynamicDbytheC, your memoirs always touch my heart. I don't know that stage 4 really allows for much denial (it's so in your face), let's call you hopeful. Hold on to hope as long as you can. You inspire better in many of us and for that I thank you.

Always like stories of true love..."better to have loved and lost..." is so true. Thanks for sharing this piece of yourself, ba_miracle.ba_miracle says,
He gave her so much happiness and loved her. I can only imagine his pain.He is recovering. I think he agreed to take it easy, simply to get my sisters to stop "helping" (tough old bird).
Here is to more lovin' and less losin' to us all.
