This makes me kind of happy but also kind of sad. When my grandmother was dying of breast cancer (I was eleven), she used to play this song constantly. She was on steroids at the end and she was a little manic - just not like herself at all. She had us sit on the couch and listen to that song over and over and at the end she always said, "Listen closely to this part, this is important." I still don't know what she meant and it still bothers me, but I like to think it was "She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah."
Mid fifties, married thirty years. My husband has sweetly asked me to try to outlive him, because he doesn't want to face life alone.
His odds are pretty good. Both our mothers (still living!) outlived our fathers. And our grandmothers...
