Long-suffering. Communication. Compassion. Honesty. Trust. Faithfulness.

Backstory

Me and my sweetheart are doing some relationship counseling, and one thing we had to do was list what is needed in a successful relationship. We could not use "love" in any form. This is what I came up with: tolerate your differences and quirks, speak your needs clearly, have compassion for their problems and needs, never lie, trust them so that you don't need to control or always be present, and stay faithful in all things (physically, emotionally, and to every promise).

JbY says,

Mhone, bad girl, that is seven words not six.

Mhone says,

Haha in the Bible I'm pretty sure longsuffering is one word... I got agitated at the red line. But fine; patience, communication, compassion, honesty, trust, faithfulness. Better? XD

KharisJo says,

great attributes Mhone and I'd agree that longsuffering is one word. Puts me in mind of 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter, that records some of the most needed qualities of a relationship. Hope all goes well for counselling and relationship :)

Contemplative says,

ditto on the well wishes. I've done my fair share of suffering and it seemed an eternity. Definitely fits the picture and 6. What a beautiful backstory. All the best!
