If you're his second choice, then you shouldn't even consider him as a choice. I was there once. I was the girl that waited for him while he was with other girls yet always told me he loved me. You'll find someone worthy of your heart. It may not seem like it, but speaking from experience, it will happen. And you will feel joy that you never knew you could.
Keep calm and carry on. There's someone out there for you! I always listen to "Good morning" by William Fitzsimmons when I feel like there's no one out there for me. And sometimes, all it takes is having a strong connection with a friend or even sometimes a moment of serenity or laughter with even a stranger or someone you haven't known for very long to remind yourself of who you are, and that there are people out there for you! So cheer up, buttercup! Where you find laughter and happiness, you find hope! :-)

His odds are pretty good. Both our mothers (still living!) outlived our fathers. And our grandmothers...
