DDC - that's kind of what it is. I'm watching someone I love so much live a life that is so below his potential, that is so *not* the guy I knew. I'm disappointed in him and for him. When you love someone, you want the best for them; you want life to be good.
Mid fifties, married thirty years. My husband has sweetly asked me to try to outlive him, because he doesn't want to face life alone.
His odds are pretty good. Both our mothers (still living!) outlived our fathers. And our grandmothers...
