Backstory

The backstory is long, but I don't know that I will ever recover from this loss. It hits me at unexpected times, and I feel it as keenly as I did 32 years ago.

Yes. I know this feeling you describe in your backstory, if not so much your six. Sometimes something will happen that causes me remember, and my breath is knocked out of as much a punch in the stomach.

I wrote the story out, in Moments. It hits me at odd times....but this week especially, simply by virtue of the date. I find it hard to care about anything else going on in the world.
