Backstory
It was a simple gift, plainly wrapped. Nothing special about it, really, or not that anyone else might recognize. But giving it had certain private significance for me.He was surprised, but before he opened it, before he even took the package in his hands, he exclaimed, "Oh! It's ____!"
I asked how he could possibly have known, and this is what he said.
He does indeed.
