I was thinking of a song from a new show I like, Nashville. It is called Fade into You. If I can recall the lyrics right, these make me think of you and the heartbreaking situation you are in: If you were a window, and I was the rain. I'd pour myself out and wash off the pane (pain). Mid fifties, married thirty years. My husband has sweetly asked me to try to outlive him, because he doesn't want to face life alone.
His odds are pretty good. Both our mothers (still living!) outlived our fathers. And our grandmothers...
