Back in the 90s, I read about the Ivory Coast. I was appalled. I wrote to every chocolate making company asking them not to be a part of child slave labor practices. This was before email. They all wrote back to me and assured me they did not. I hoped with all my heart that was true, but I stopped eating chocolate. Even now, I have a hard time with all the dark chocolate marketing for health. I still can't pick up a bar without thinking "am I contributing?"DynamicDbytheC says,
