The white rice is too spicy.

Backstory

My friends and I were eating food at a local Indian restaurant. Unfortunately, I was born with a very low spice tolerance (and have done little to change this.) One passionate mother convinced me to try a number of foods, each resulting with a similar, freakish reaction as I ran around the room drinking the water from my friends' glasses. It was so bad, that I had decided to settle with the most bland food in the restaurant; the white rice. Rice has always been a favorite of mine, to such an extent that I am very familiar with what it SHOULD taste like. Needless to say, there were tears running down my face as even the "the food without taste" was too hot for the boy who couldn't eat spicy foods.
