Reminds me of salads I used to make when James was able to eat. I called them garbage salads, because I put everything I could find in them. Goat cheese, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds or soy nuts, bacon bits, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, red cabbage, etc.. This goes along side the memoir about taking hours to prepare and minutes to eat.
