NumbrOneAunt says,

i think it's significantly harder when it's unexpected - if Baba had been an elderly dog and/or had been sick for quite some time, you would have been gradually getting used to the idea of losing her. i don't say that it's EVER easy under any circumstances, though. wish i could help!

maryjane31 says,

Just want to believe that there is a special place in heaven for dogs and of course all animals.

NumbrOneAunt says,

not cockroaches, though, ok, maryjane? can we leave out cockroaches?

marymc says,

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please hug your husband for me. There is a very special place in heaven for our furry friends. So much love with no ulterior motives. It wouldn't be heaven without them.

maryjane31 says,

NOA; I'm with you on the cockroaches.

maryjane31 says,

marymc; thank you so much and I did hug him for all of us. He loved that little dog so much. What a bond they had. Today is better for us as we cleaned up all her toys and we put away all her "stuff." The Vet hospital sent me flowers and a sympathy card which was nice but remember our bill was over 1000 dollars. It did not bring her back and they did not fix her.It is a long story about her health problems as she was a purebred cocker spaniel that perhaps was not bred correctly. We did not love her any less. Most wonderful dog that I was honored to know.

marymc says,

She was lucky to have you.
