I echo ErikaStellar. Don't you wish you could see the Backstory icon on sixes within an individual's profile page? Once they're past the main 'conveyor thread', the likelihood of someone even knowing there is an attached backstory is greatly reduced. Kinda sucks. Also wish there was site navi similar to most email inboxes, where you can go forward or back a specific number of pages and it doesn't default back to the most recent after you click on one to view it. Can I get an amen?
Another note: instead of making my priority reading every single Backstory, I put the same effort into occasionally cycling back through the main feed (thread? What's it called? The most recent sixes feed.) to ones I missed in an effort to read almost all sixes at least, as well as going to people's profile pages and checking up on their individual stuff (sometimes very far back). Sometimes there is an inevitable delay, but I like discovering good sixes after the fact. And I have no problem admitting that when someone comments on or favorites something of mine, it majorly boosts my motivation to go check on their stuff (again or for the first time). Equally true, I like commenting on or favoriting something by someone I've never seen (or never interacted with) before. I'm sure more people would go further back if the nav were improved in the aforementioned ways.

I try to. They tend to flesh out what are already good memoirs, and they give us a somewhat deeper look into fellow contributors' lives.wackjob says,

I like to think if I read the back stories, people will read mine. I don't read them all, just the stories to the memoirs that intrigue me the most.BecomingLogyn says,
Typically, yes. I mean if I have more than a few minutes to look at them.three-monkeys says,
Yes. I love memoirs but I need more information most of the time! And, I love to read. ;)Mourningdove says,

Not only do I wish the backstory icon showed up, I wish the number of comments showed up as well. Ditto on not having it default back.jl333 says,
Here's an Amen shout out! I try to read all the backstories, unless I'm short on time...illuminatrix says,
