What mythological creature best represents you?
Backstory
I'd absolutely have to go with the Phoenix. I've always identified with the idea of rebirth and the reformation of the self. It's difficult and painful to destroy your own ego enough that you can remake yourself into something better, but it's always worth the effort. I can identify various points in my life when I've risen from the ashes. This is a great place to start, a Wikipedia list of mythological creatures:

Was born in the year of the dragon. Got a dragon tattoo in the shape of an infinity symbol shortly after I turned eighteen to represent an unending cycle of wisdom, courage and renewal.I do love me some wood elves, though.

Respect to wood elves. And of course, I'm not surprised that Dragon and Phoenix are the first ones to pop up in answer to my question. A friend of mine was also born in the year of the dragon and has a dragon tat as well. Love the way you described the dragon's meaning for you. Awesome.Dragonflower says,
When I was a teenager, it was a unicorn. I had lots of glass figurines. I liked their beauty and gentleness. I had to always be gentle so I wouldn't break their spiral horn. I still have a magnet with a unicorn on it from long ago, and a little box. I haven't thought of that in years.
