Backstory
Valentines Day at the nursing home, a lady came in to photograph people holding this giant heart frame around their faces. Cute, huh? Except all I saw were little old ladies, standing there all by themselves in a heart. Alone. Their husbands were dead. When it came to my mom's turn, I stood in the heart with her.

I'd skip the heart. But I've been thinking for a while that I'd like to do a portrait day. Put up a flier in advance and then come in and take people's picture, and then print out copies for everyone. You're a good daughter - but it's absolutely heart-wrenching how many people have family that never comes to visit. That photographer probably should have thought about the heart, but the idea of a photoshoot was sweet.NumbrOneAunt says,

Wow.. this just makes me sad. I'm sure the photographer had good intentions, but it was executed in a horrible manner. I'm glad you were there to be with your Mom.marymc says,
Yes, NOA, I humbly accept your hug.canadafreeze says,
This made me cry for so many reasons.TheAngstyPoet says,
The photographer went about it all wrong. She should have had friends group in with the hugs. Agreed, MO, horrible execution. At least your mom had you, Mary.
