Yes, then a tour came in and I stood behind crowd taking photos.

Dragonflower says,

Not the real one, but the wax figure one at the place next to Knotts Berry Farm. There were two museums there, one had hollywood greats and next door to that, great art. David was outside in all his glory. I was a teenager then, so didn't look much.

ShellDeFelice says,

Yes, on a wintery day in 2001.

Bucket list item #2.

accidentaltourist says,

Yes and no. (I have photos to prove it.)

In Florence, I saw two of the three. One is at an overlook of the city. I saw that one first. The second is in the Piazza della Signoria, where the original stood until 1873, when it was moved to l'Accademia. I could not get into the gallery there, though...the line stretched around the building and beyond.

Oh...there was one other similar sighting....but it wasn't the real David, it just looked like him. ;) (the compliment was well-received, by the way)

catsmeow says,

Knelt.

L2L3 says,

Yup. Not another soul to be seen. Bad weather day. Great museum day.

DynamicDbytheC says,

Yes.
