At 14 I rode a horse into the Grand Tetons for 3 days (never rode a horse before that) and white water rafted the Snake River. My dad planned the most awesome vacations.

The first thing that came to mind was walking the streets of Paris all night. Took two teenaged boys from our traveling group with me. We arrived back at the hotel as the sun was coming up, and just had time to bathe, pack, grab a quick breakfast, and board the bus for the next leg of our trip. Oh the things you see in Paris in the middle of the night!

Once took a week long trip from Ohio through Pennsylvania and into New York. Really didn't have a plan other than no freeways, no fast food. Had some cash, a credit card for emergencies and the tent & sleeping bags in case we needed them. We meandered through the backroads diverting to attractions as we saw billboard sign advertisements that intrigued us.

Ok, most adventurous thing I've ever done: Take a bus to NYC, navigate its streets to find the office building of a girl I'd never met before, get a ride with said girl to MA, spend the entire New Year's weekend staying in a two-bedroom house with approximately twenty other people so that I could attend the infamous Amherst New Year's contra dance. Either that, or the festival a few weeks later that I attended, where I ended up hitching a ride home with a van full of Quakers.
