I often think when I'm reading comments "oh I wish I could tag that as 'liked'"....but I wonder how the potential to be tagged might affect the direction comments might take, thereby stifling or enflaming the creative process.
Some of the comments are so funny and sometimes better than the memoir itself. I enjoy the comments so much. Yes I would like to tag some as "liked" very much.
The comments are the icing to me. The memoir is the cake. Except I don't usually eat the icing.....Mmmm, bad metaphor then, for me. In the other sites, where you can like comments, I never pay attention to them, until someone comments, "Who disliked that comment/story, etc?" as if everyone should like it or think the same say.
What I like a lot is when one comment will spur another comment. If we could simply just click to like a comment, then we might not feel compelled to comment further.
jl333: you never cease to make me laugh. You help my sour puss lines from forming around my mouth (which I've only noticed since I turned 60 last week--where they always there???)
I like it in principle. But I think pretty quickly people would start just 'liking' things and not really giving any meaningful feedback, which is such an awesome, fun part of being here in the first place.
