Peek-a-boo! Who sees who hiding behind?

Backstory

One day of the week, almost every week, I assist a woodcutter harvest firewood in the Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest, which covers a vast expanse of southern Oregon and northern California. For me, these weekly sojourns in the forest quasi-primeval are therapy. No Internet. No TV. No radio. No cell phone calls. No time, either. Just human essence interspersed with Earth's essence: dirt, rocks, plants, birds, and a variety of creatures that "creepeth upon the earth". (So far, Bigfoot continues to play peek-a-boo as well. Quite well, I'm happy to report.) I never fail to return from each excursion with my "operating system rebooted".

The weather was frosty for my most recent outing Saturday; nonetheless, I was cheered by frequently glancing upward at the sun's rays streaming on and through the trees and on and "through" me. Gold transmuted into green and into joy.

Peek-a-boo! That's me . . . shining among those trees.

P.S. – O-kaaaay . . . I admit it. A cell phone in the woods CAN be handy . . . especially for capturing alchemy. :-)

Oh...so it's not Bigfoot?

Staraj says,

Amazing how he blends into the conifers. Quiet for a big fella, too.
