Wench says,

Short answer - yes.

maryjane31 says,

Me too!

accidentaltourist says,

Not so you'd notice....but I have some quirky behaviors. Some things I have to do even when I know they don't need to be done because I just did them, because there is a certain order to things.

Okay, that makes me sound crazy.

Dragonflower says,

Does straightening out the magazines in the check-out line count as quirky or OCD-ish? I think to think of it as creating a pleasant check-out experience for others. Seriously, I have tried to NOT do this. But I can't. It's like I feel sorry for the magazines if they are lop-sided or have their covers bent. If I don't have time before my check-out turn, I whisper, "sorry magazines."

Don't worry, everyone, I'm calling my therapist even as I type.....

marymc says,

My ex had it bad. He touched every knob on the stove, every outlet and every door and window before bed. I'd just go to bed. After we divorced, I'd find the stove left on, doors unlocked. It almost made me miss him.

TheAngstyPoet says,

I have to clean my ears with a Q-tip everytime I come out of the shower or if the inside of my ear itches. When I eat I have to pull my hair back. If I see a snake on tv I have to pull my hair up and off my shoulders/neck.

marymc says,

So funny, hieronimo, I'm the same way and I think that's as it should be. Hubby eats one item at a time, and nothing can touch. AND he always eats his salad last.

Wench says,

If I touch a doorknob/bottle cap/handle and it feels wrong, I have to touch it again. When I put on deodorant, it has to feel even. If it doesn't, I will reapply it. When people mention OCD issues, the palms of my hands start to itch. I have to touch the centers of my palms, first with my fingers, then by rubbing them together, all evenly. If at any point, I feel like one part of my hands didn't touch the other as much, I have to do it over again. And yes, I am doing that right now.

SingerSomewhere says,

If I touch something with my left hand, I must touch it with my right. Sane goes for if I touch anything with my shoulder, head, foot, etc. I must eat my food one thing at a time going clockwise around my plate. If my letters are lopsided, I must erase and rewrite them. The list goes on and on...

accidentaltourist says,

I feel much more normal now.

maryjane31 says,

I was just going to say I always check the house at least five times before we leave on a trip or even for a evening out to the movies. These comments are so interesting, pretty hard to top them.

canadafreeze says,

After reading all the comments - I'm good. I count. I believe we are all on the same spectrum - just not all huddled at one end.

jl333 says,

I have to literally count the fruit I grow. Nobody is allowed to eat any of the apricots, plums, tomatoes, blackberries, or sugar snap peas until they have been tallied up! Last year, I grew 3,396 sugar snap peas. Later on, I learned that some of the neighbors had picked some and didn't tell me how many they ate (which of course everybody thought was funny). I don't care if people eat them...I just like to see the fruits of my labor, which means I want to know exactly how much I grew of something.

JAD says,

Anytime we're going on a trip I must and will straighten house before we leave. Hubby is trying to get me out to the car and I'm doing other things. Can't help myself.

DynamicDbytheC says,

I was watching a show called, "Neat Freaks." This show follows "Hoarders," which is too gross to watch. However, I thought the neat freaks were pretty sensible and I got a lot of good ideas from them. Then I realized, yes, I am indeed OCD. However, when a woman went into a bathroom at a friends house and pulled out a bottle of cleaning spray, proceeded to spend most of the dinner party in the bathroom cleaning and then couldn't eat at a house with such a dirty bathroom, I realized I am still in the normal range of OCD clean.

L2L3 says,

I too, must have a completely tidy house before leaving for vacation. In fact, at least a couple of projects that have been put off for months must now be completed before the car is completely packed.

ba_miracle says,

Considering I just found my house key in the front door again? Not nearly enough.

ctgoods2 says,

yes and I'm fond of them all

BecomingLogyn says,

heh I feel less weird now!
I have to step off with my left foot, my steps have to be in a multiple of four, and all light switches have to be going the same way (if the light's off both down, if it's on both up)
