Amapola says,

Thanks!

jl333 says,

I checked out the video from one of your previous posts regarding your Grandma! Working on six words for granny.

mzejay says,

Wow, how wonderful to have such a lovely grandmother. I just spent time with my own grandmother, she's only 96!

Believe says,

I have a question for her.
What has been the best invention?

Amapola says,

she can't answer with words but my guess would be her mechanical sawing machine. She used to make clothes for a living. She still folds her napkin neatly, as if it was a piece of clothes ready to be delivered.

KharisJo says,

Hello Grandma! I've just watched you in the D.R. from Australia. You have a lovely face and such beautiful long fingers, also a fine head of hair. How lovely to be still living at home with your family. I work with many elderly people and love to hear the stories that they tell of their lives. I wish I could sit next to your rocking chair and have a cup of tea with you. Best wishes for continued good health and a very happy Christmas.
(sorry Am, couldn't fit it into six)

Amapola says,

Thank you so much Kharisjo, I'll whisper your wishes in her ears. She can't talk but she can certainly feel the love!

Believe says,

I am pretty sure you are right, Amapola. I began asking that question years ago to people that were wealthy in years. I've gotten some very interesting responses. All the answers seem to have one thing in common: they are all personal items. No one has said the computer. No one has said the television. Or the airplane. Or the jet engine. They are all things that help the person, not the society the person lives in. Thank you for the answer.

DynamicDbytheC says,

People who are wealthy in years, love this Believe. For Grandma, she has more to offer me ( than I could offer her). I am certain she would have many wise sixes.

Amapola says,

Oh yes, she would have. She's always been a woman of very few words. I'll see her again in a few days (I'm coming home for Christmas) - and I can't wait!

Amapola says,

Believe, I hear you. And thank you for sharing this - it gives me a new perspective. It's something I'll bring with me when I see her again.

Her life was making clothes for others, and her pride was that her vision was 20-20 (until today, she's never had sight problems). She was a great tailor and she worked every single day of her life, except on Sundays. She loved what she did for a living.

DynamicDbytheC says,

Passion for living, key to living (go 107).
