None .....only use milk to cook with if I have to. I can do chocolate soy milk if I add chocolate protein powder then put it in the freezer for 20 minutes or so.
I prefer skim....but I guess it must be an acquired taste. Whole milk tastes really off to me, since I've gotten so used to it. I can actually taste the fat. Our most recent family compromise is 1%....but I don't think anyone is happy.
MO, I was buying whole and skim for a long time, but the person who prefers whole does not use enough to make it economical to have....I was dumping a lot of milk down the drain. Whole milk spoils quicker than skim, in my experience.
My father is 75. Drinks milk with every meal....probably a gallon every 3 days. Always whole, never 2% or skim. Man smokes like a chimney, drinks a case of beer a week as well...and is as healthy as an ox.
Whole for coffee and tea. 2% for cereal, baking, cooking sauces. Skim for drinking - anything feels like drinking melted ice-cream. There's just me and my husband, but we keep all three on hand. So, no need to make compromises at your house, just buy smaller amounts.

I'm a whole mile drinker myself. Will tolerate 2%. No way, no hell will ever drink non-fat...might as well just have water at that point.maryjane31 says,
I like the 2%, anything lower is like water.Wench says,
Never skim. Usually 2%, but lately and when I was pregnant, always whole.MO_Thoughts2 says,

So why not get a half gallon of each ? Yeah, It will cost a bit more but happiness is worth the few cents.canadafreeze says,
Whole, organic milk. Anything else gives me a tummy ache. The lower the fat content in milk, the harder it is to digest. Learned that the hard way ...accidentaltourist says,

AT -- understood. My daughter goes through phases where she wants milk, but I almost always throw at least a fourth 1/2 gallon away. :-(marymc says,

Family war zone. I would buy skim, but risk skinning. Family wants 2%, and what family wants, family gets.ctgoods2 says,
