I am very good at saving money. I have always been a bargain shopper. Don't buy anything until I see the Sunday papers. I will buy only on sale. I also clip coupons.
Yes. Used to be better though, but we outgrow our old house and I bought bigger which equals bigger mortgage. We do shop for clothes at the thrift store (where I buy most of my dressy work clothes for a fraction of new) or the clearance racks at stores. But if it rained for a couple days, I would be OK.
Got good pretty quickly, being married. One of the first things we did was take a financial planning class.
About Six-Word Questions
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?
