thesagittarian12 says,

How long is a piece of string?

unknown116 says,

Depends on the string. Depends on whose holding it. Depends on how you look at it.

unknown116 says,

1. Crows like having their own space.

unknown116 says,

On average 1 to 2 pounds. And I'm sorry about the inconvenience.

unknown116 says,

Well based off of some of your sixes, I can tell you are intelligent and good with words. I'm sure you inspire her to be a better person. Sometimes it's best to pick someone not on who that person is, but who you are when you are around them. For reasons only she may see, you inspire her everyday.

unknown116 says,

Some things you don't have to question. Some things you just have to enjoy.

BanjoDan says,

What is one important principle to guide a man's life?
Where are my purple socks?

kathi_wright says,

why do the irish and the scottish both have distinct yet similar accents while the countries are separated by the sea?

unknown116 says,

Dan, there are many that should guide a man's life, but I think the most important is honesty. If you cannot own up to the things you have done, then why do them?
And your purple socks don't want to be found.

Kathi, Gaelic was the original langauge for both the Scottish and the Irish, but they both have a different dialect and vocabulary. Both people began in England which is why they sound so similar when they speak in english. Both countries feel offended when you mix the two up, which in my opinion is because of their belief in this story: "Zerah branch of Judah".

BanjoDan says,

i have enjoyed reading your answers UK and have one more, how would you answer the zen koan, what is the sound of one hand clapping?

Larry_D._Smith says,

Who will win the NFC East?

Steve__Anthony says,

Do I look fat in these jeans?

unknown116 says,

Why thank you Dan. And to answer your question, you must first start by asking yourself some questions: What is the hand clapping against? Why can I only clap with one hand? What do I desire to accomplish? It is like the question "If a tree falls and noone hears it, does it still make a sound?" Just because noone knows, or noone hears, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And it surelly does not mean that is it any less important than something actually seen or heard. If you clap with one hand, the sound it creates is the sound you desire.

Larry, I would give you my thought, but my prediction may jinx fate. So for now your question must sadly go unanswered. Feel free to ask another.

Steve, your question can never be proven unless you choose to believe my words. We are all our own worst enemy. If you believe you look fat in your jeans, then no matter what you will see yourself as fat in your jeans. Where as my answer is no, you do not look fat in your jeans. As long as your jeans are the proper size, you can rock 'em.

kathi_wright says,

no one has ever answered that question to my satisfaction - until now. i thank you...

Believe says,

Do you write by another name on smithmag other than unknown116?

unknown116 says,

You are very welcome Kathi. I went to multiple websites trying to figure it out myself. So thank you, in turn you made me learn the answer as well.

Believe, this is my only profile.

kathi_wright says,

a fan of the brilliant unknown!

L2L3 says,

Let's change the wording. Have you always been unknown116 since appearing on Smith or have you changed your screen name?

unknown116 says,

*taking a bow* Thank you.

L2L3, I have always been unknown116.

Love these interesting questions and equally interesting answers.

Why do humans need to sleep? and

Is there a bermuda triangle in most purses?

L2L3 says,

Jonesie! You're back!!!

unknown116 says,

Skyrocketjones, humans need sleep because of many reasons. The mind is constantly working. As we are awake, neurons are being used and the by-product of it is adenosine which is supposed to inform our bodies when we need to rest. The harder we work, the more adenosine is released, which in turn makes us more tired. Some scientists believe that the less sleep you get, the harder it is to learn. The body as well as the mind needs sleep. Humans do most of their growth while asleep. It is also a way of conserving energy. There are many reasons and theories, but those are the basics.
And is there a bermuda triangle in most purses? Yes. Even in the smallest of handbags things get lost. But the glorious thing about the "bermuda purse triangle" is that what you lose will more times than not appear again. The aggrivating part though is that it usually reappears after you actually need it.

Redx3 says,

Favorite form of poetry?

skyrocketjones says,

Hi L2. Good to "see" you here! Been missing the fun. Need to buy at least one of Larry's books, too. Any recommendations?

Thought provoking and fresh fodder for thought. Thanks, Unknown116. Something I read recently also said that the brain is very busy without our executive function governor when we sleep. A leading sleep scientist said it's the one time we can safely and quietly be insane once a day.
How about: How do babies learn language so quickly?

Another: "What is dark energy/matter??"

You must research alot! Is that an avocation or vocation, maybe? You make it sound fun. Thanks for your insightful answers.

thesagittarian12 says,

Will Sydney FC fall in a screaming heap if Juventus legend and Italian soccer icon Alessandro del Piero suffers a long-term injury?

unknown116 says,

Redx3, my favorite form of poetry is dark poetry. When everything in it is so raw and full of emotion.

Skyrocketjones, that's a very interesting and thought provoking point of view.
Babies first step to language development is when they learn that if they cry, they get food. Or if they cry, you hold them. They aquire what ever you present to them. Kids who are neglected generally do not learn very quickly. When babies start to make noises or babble, they really are trying to communicate. They can process (even if they don't understand) that you are talking to them and they want to talk back. It's like survival of the fittest in a sense. You learn what you have to to survive. Babies are learning to survive, so they grasp onto anything that is repetative.
From my understanding of it, the Universe is made up of 70% dark energy, 25% dark matter, and 5% normal matter. But noone really can define them. Dark energy is supposed to make up space and also works to expand the Universe. Dark matter is the property that is believed to speed the expansion. But again, noone really knows what it is exactly or how it came to be. Or even if you could describe it accuretly without disproving the theory of gravity.
And yes, I find research quite fun. Research papers, not so much.

Sagacious, of course they would! He just signed with them, and it seems as thought they have grown rather fond of him. Plus no team wants to lose a player to injury.

Dhani says,

What is your true 'IDENTITY' and does it differ from mine, or anyone else's on this board?

unknown116 says,

What do you mean by my "true identity"? And what is your true identity?

Dhani says,

Simple: my true Identity I define as a son of God & whoever is reading this is'a brother', in the Universal sense.

I don't believe I came from a gravity-sucking black-hole of Nothingness, but that I was created by God. And you, my friend?

unknown116 says,

Ah, I understand now. My "true identity" is a daughter of God put on earth to help everyone who comes into my life.
People can relate and differ from eachother quite easily and in many ways, so I'm sure my identity is both similar and different from those on this board.

canadafreeze says,

Fascinating comments.
Are you published, unknown116?

unknown116 says,

Canadafreeze, I am not published. I hope to one day be. I hope to one day write a few novels and possibly a poetry book.
