Buying into a franchise while I had 'chemo brain' - thinking that it would help me earn some money and I would have to work less hours. The guy took my money and disppeared - and I'm still paying off the loan I took out ...
Dating Brenda. No, dating Peggy. No, dating Teri (she dotted her i's with a heart) ----- but seriously, it was/is buying this house that I am currently living a year before the bust. It is ruined and taken away almost everything I had saved over the past 25 years.
AlSO it is preventing me from moving and finding a better paying job.
Using my house like a bank and withdrawing all of my equity. I am currently under water with my mortgage, with no real turn around in sight, but I gotta live somewhere...
I keep mulling this over. So many things that didn't end well...but I never really thought they were "good" ideas....they just seemed like the only option. Getting married too young was just one of them....but I don't for a minute regret having my children young.
My worst 'good' idea was auctioning off 'YIN YANG', my Rochester, New York antique shop, so I could journey to India to meet the renowned late Indian thinker Jiddu Krishnamurti, who had extended a personal invitation to meet with him in Madras to discuss homosexuality.
Long story short: My female travel agent, instead of making my reservations, used the two thousand dollars in cash I had paid her to deliver her baby! It took a long time to recover the money; the trip was never made, I lost a great business, but worse: Jiddu died before I could speak to him.
My worst 'best' idea dovetailed with my best 'worst' idea.

Substituting popped pop corn for breakfast cereal. Definitely did not hold up very well after the milk was poured...Dhani says,
