bohemdeb says,

For me, it is a feeling that one must write, no matter the consequences...

Contemplative says,

The author believing he or she is a writer matters most. An intention to communicate with an audience, be it oneself or someone else defines being a writer.

Personally, the willingness to be open and honest, especially with myself. And to be relatable even if only to one other person. And lastly, practice, practice, and more practice. Thanks Mr. Guinta (7th grade English teacher and language lover).

bohemdeb says,

I agree with Contemplative. In short: Someone Who Writes!

Wench says,

"A writer writes. Always." Quick, reference?

JAD says,

Words and thoughts that maybe you can't express verbaly, but put a pen and paper in your hand and everything explodes.

Mourningdove says,

Just wondered what everyone thought. I don't feel like a writer, so maybe I'm not. ; )

AQScott says,

You've written 884 memoirs...trust me, you're a writer...and a good one, too!
